Mission Metro is a new opportunity presented by Metrolina Baptist Association to give our churches’ student groups a way to serve on our own mission field this summer. With World Changers ending, this is a way to care for and reach neighbors nearby with the love of Christ in word and action.
Here are some specifics about this summer’s Mission Metro experience – join us in praying that students will be able to participate with us in late July. Projects will include construction, yard work, cleaning, outreach, prayerwalking and more.
Dates: Monday – Friday, July 27 – 31, 2020
Location: Great Commission Center (GCC) and project sites around metro Charlotte
Cost per student:
Day Camp Plan: $75 (includes 2 meals/day, program costs)
Overnight Plan: $150 (includes 3 meals/day, lodging, program costs)
Mission Metro is for rising 7th graders through high school students.
The week begins with registration at the GCC on Monday at 1 pm and concludes with dinner on Friday at 6 pm. Each day will conclude with worship.
Due to precautions due to the pandemic, the 2020 total number of participants is 70. This year Metrolina Association churches may participate.
